Since we’ve covered the Pros and Cons of using the Bodum Bistro Electric Water Kettle. Let’s head over to what the masses have a say about this water kettle.
“This kettle is surprisingly compact and can be brought along to travelling trips. I own a trailer and bought the Bodum so I can enjoy nice cups of coffee every morning while on the road. It’s light and works very fast. Very pleased with my purchase!”
“I love this little water kettle! It doesn’t take up too much space unlike my older water kettle which was even bulky to boot. Also loving its efficiency, it takes like a few minutes for tap water to be boiling hot and it’s great for my tea.”
“Currently, I live alone and this compact kettle works fine for me. Been using it a lot on a regular basis and is perfect to boil water that can be placed inside a large travel mug – it can be for hot cocoa, tea or coffee, I pick whatever I feel like drinking for the day.”
“I’ve been working with kettles on stove tops for quite a while and a friend convinced me to try out the Bodum kettle since it works faster and is more efficient. Never looked back ever since I got the cute little water kettle. Now I’m enjoying my coffee fix every morning even more.”
“Love this kettle, I’ve been using it regularly every day. Works great for my morning tea!”
“For one in its price range, this is a water kettle that can truly deliver. This blows out the rest of its competition in its group!”
“Never content with the thermos that I bring often to camping trips so I’ve decided to look up for an electric kettle and this one caught my eye. It was love at first sight but ended up liking it even more during use. It’s compact, I can bring it around to my office or even in my study room. I have no regrets buying this water kettle.”
All in all, the Bodum Bistro is a great entry choice water kettle to purchase. It is best summed up as simple but effective as the minimal features this kettle has are just enough for it to do its job. The only problem about the Bodum Bistro is that it might not appeal to everyone because some folks do not trust using plastic kettles and would rather settle for stainless steel ones instead even though it is made out of safe materials.

Now that we’ve covered the advantages and disadvantages of utilizing the Bodum 11659 / Double Wall, let’s take a look at what the buyers can say about the water kettle.
“At first glance, I wasn’t very convinced with the price tag but after using it at home – I am very sold by it. For a kettle that lies around a cheap price range, you would be surprised how it can heat up water in a matter of a minute or two and then makes a loud clicking noise when it is done. No supervision needed at all while it boils, safe to use too!”
“This water kettle is easy to use, easy to maintain. It’s easier to do both if you’re using tap water but if you’re utilizing something like mineral or hard water then you better have a descaling solution prepared during clean up time. Other than that, I’m very happy with its performance at home. My hot water for my morning coffee always gets ready in a snap.”
“Great kettle. Work fast and efficiently. This kettle provides you more than the purchased value in fact.”
“Not heavy and cumbersome to bring around. The kettle can be brought to many places if you would wish it since it’s lightweight. Works pretty fast too. I have two of these kettles, one at home and one for the trailer truck whenever me and my family are going on out of town trips.”
“Loving the fact that the kettle and the base are separate items since before I used to own an electric kettle whose cord is bound to the kettle itself. It’s admittedly a bit of a pain since I sometimes forget it is a corded kettle and I would end up tugging it by accident. That is however a thing of the past now since a cousin of mine recommended this kettle to me since it is a cordless kettle and the base and kettle are separate from each other. No more days of accidentally tugging the cords.”
All in all, the Bodum 11659 / Bistro Double Wall is another solid water kettle to consider adding into your household. It basically takes whatever was present in the Bistro model and takes it to the next level by adding a 5-temperature setting and a keep warm feature. Bear In mind that there are some claims from customers that the Double Wall has a rather short lifespan so you might want to keep an eye on it from time to time while it works.

After covering the Pros and Cons of the Bodum Melior Gooseneck water kettle, let’s move on to what the customers have a say regarding this water kettle.
“A masterpiece of a water kettle! Been looking for the right water kettle that meets my criteria of functional yet stylish and this one meets both of them. First, I love how the kettle looks, it’s sleek and elegant and that cork matches well with its color. Very stunning! Sometimes I’d place it in the center of my dining table next to my floral arrangements. Performance-wise, it does what is advertised which is quickly heating up the water in a few minutes and then automatically shutting off. Been enjoying many cups of tea per each passing day with it.”
“Looks great, works great. Spill-proof. Very energy efficient. The narrow snout of the kettle allows me to pour water with great precision so that my teacups won’t overflow like before with my previous water kettle.”
“Been working with teas for a long time and I’ve been looking for an ideal water kettle and this one meets my standards. I decided to purchase it in a heartbeat and I regret nothing at all. It boils water fast; it pours water precisely and it looks very handsome. I’ve had my own share of guests who are asking where I got this water kettle from and I told them where – next month later, I’d get a call from one of them that they decided to get one for themselves.”
“Provides quick and snappy hot water for my morning coffee. It is also quite charming to look at and when not in use, it stands next to my coffee press and colored coffee mugs on a tray on a marble countertop – very pleasing to the eyes! Sometimes I cannot find myself to use the water kettle since it looks so handsome, something like one of those classy-looking pots in a museum. My only minor gripe with the kettle is that it doesn’t have the water gauge window but it’s just a minor issue – everything else about the kettle is just fine and overall, very happy with my purchase.”
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Do not remove the plastic piece that’s found above the max fill line, according to some customers – removing that plastic piece can break the kettle.
Overall, the Bodum Melior Gooseneck provides coffee and tea lovers a safer alternative to preparing hot water for their favorite drinks. Aside from being pleasing to the eyes, it offers a great functionality in the home kitchen. The only downside is that this model doesn’t have a water gauge window so estimating how much water is left in the kettle can be tricky.
We generally prefer glass or stainless steel models over plastic. That said, there have been some mixed reviews on Amazon about the Bodum Goose Neck so if it’s within your budget, we suggest the Bodum Double Wall model as it features an elegant design and a glass body that should make the unit truly BPA free.
There is a Bodum Goose Neck stainless steel model that has good user reviews on Amazon. It’s made of stainless steel (pictured below). That said, we’re sticking with our pick of the Bodum Double Wall as it is a better all around kettle in our opinion, most notably because it allows for variable temperature settings.
